Online & New Capital Campus
Bilingual assessment fails when English rubrics are translated after the fact and Arabic achievement is treated as heritage. This certificate starts with marker behaviour: drift, prestige bias, and comments that do not match the mark. You will treat GCC exam-season mobility of markers, attestation of overseas PGCE papers as not evaluation, and family-enterprise schools as a sector fact. You will write a moderation minute in two languages and refuse QTS, Ofqual-impersonation, and League of Arab States education logos. The award is academic staff development. It is not an examiner badge. It is for people who must keep bilingual marks honest when a ranking dashboard has already been promised. You will moderate a bilingual script set until comments match marks, design a mark scheme that does not treat Arabic as heritage extra-credit, and write a public statement that this PGCert is not QTS. GCC exam-season marker mobility is a staffing file, not a licence. Foundation-year and family-enterprise schools are additional cases. Identity-checked exams remain required. Arabic academic register is assessed on every pack. Tuition-free online. No exam-board or LAS logos in stills. PGCert Arabic–English Assessment and Marker Training is taught as one award, not a list of unrelated modules. The published length is 9 months, and the credit total is 15. Students move from Arabic and English as Assessment Languages through Arabic and English as Assessment Languages; Prestige Bias and Score Laundering; Bilingual Moderation Minutes; Non-Licensure and Attestation versus Evaluation; Workplace Marker-Training Pack, and finish on Workplace Marker-Training Pack. Each course has a question, a method, and a submission. In this field, students apply the method of the subject to a defined problem and defend the result. Reading is a core text, a case or dataset, and a critique. The artefact a marker expects is a submission that shows the method, the evidence, and the limit of the claim. The award is built so that a graduate can do the following in practice: Design AR–EN mark schemes that do not launder prestige Run a bilingual moderation minute Give feedback that matches the mark in both languages Teaching assumes the student can read a source, attempt a problem before the seminar, and revise after feedback. Attendance at live seminars is part of the design. The capstone or final course must use the methods of the earlier courses; a project that ignores them does not pass. The pages for each course name the topics that are examined. Those topics are the syllabus. A brochure line is not a substitute for them.
Fifteen credits, nine months: mark schemes, moderation, bilingual feedback, workplace pack. Non-licensure. Tuition-free online.

| IUC2901 | Arabic and English as Assessment Languages Arabic and English as Assessment Languages (IUC2901) is a 3-credit course on PGCert Arabic–English Assessment and Marker Training, with 30 notional learning hours. By the end, students can apply the method of the subject to a defined problem and defend the result, using Arabic and English as Assessment Languages as the working context rather than a generic management example. The course is taught in three movements. First, students establish the terms and the decision the course is about. Second, they apply the method to a case, dataset, text, or design and compare it with a weaker alternative. Third, they revise the work after feedback and state what the conclusion cannot support. Preparation uses a core text, a case or dataset, and a critique. Seminar time is for the decision, not for reading the materials aloud. Assessment is a submission that shows the method, the evidence, and the limit of the claim. A pass requires a clear method, evidence a marker can check, and an explicit limit. Credit is not awarded for summary alone.
